AsiaMart® hosts a
meeting for a delegation from Pudong New Area of Shanghai Government with over 50 local
businesses and investors from Boston.
Boston, MA, July 25, 2001—Mr. Ed Soong, CEO of Anew Technology Corporation, hosts a meeting for a delegation from
Pudong New Area of Shanghai Government with over 50 local businesses and investors from
Boston.
Pudong
Shanghai delegation included 13 senior officials from the Economic Trade and Development
Bureau, Science & Technology Bureau and the key hi-tech development parks in Pudong
New Area. The objective of the delegation's visit to
Boston was to:
1. Introduce the investment
environment and policy of Pudong New Area in Shanghai.
2. Present on-going and potential multi-million dollar hi-tech projects.
3. Network with business organizations and hi-tech
professionals.
4. Initiate future economic and cultural co-operations and
exchanges.
They had also express the desire to meet with:
1.entrepreneurs from IT companies and related
2.venture capitalists
3.representatives from investment banks.
The invited
local guests consisted of an elite group of business executives, venture capitalists, and
high tech professionals.
After a brief introduction of Pudong delegation, Nie Zuyi and two
other delegates Mr. Cai Xiaoqing (Vice Director, Comprehensive Planning Office, Economic
Commission, Shanghai Municipal People's Government) and Mr. Dai Haibo (General Manager,
Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Development Corp.) gave presentations. The delegates reported the economic achievements
and the investment environment and policy of Pudong New Area of Shanghai. They also
presented their on-going and potential multi-million dollar hi-tech projects and showed
their sincere welcome to AsiaMart® and other Boston business organizations and
hi-tech professionals to come to Pudong for any types of economic and cultural
co-operations and exchanges.
After the presentations from the delegates, there were a short
session of questions and answers and a period of social time, exchanging business cards
and taking pictures. The meeting was a success with investors’ interests in detailed
projects and visits to Pudong area.
